SnapFill is a privacy-first application. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data, receipts, or location data to our own servers. If you have iCloud enabled, SnapFill securely syncs your data using Apple's CloudKit to your own private iCloud database. The developer has absolutely no access to this private database or your personal records.
SnapFill requires access to your camera and photo library exclusively for the purpose of scanning receipts using Optical Character Recognition (OCR). This processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Images are never uploaded to any external servers.
To provide community-driven features (like average MPGs for specific vehicle models), SnapFill periodically calculates your vehicle's non-identifiable fuel efficiency and running costs, and contributes these anonymous averages to a secure, public iCloud database. This data is strictly numerical (e.g., "Honda Civic: 32 MPG"), completely anonymized, and cannot be traced back to you, your receipts, or your Apple ID.
